Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich

Local Florida Keys mahi mahi, blackened and served sandwich style over French rolls. The ultimate blackened mahi mahi sandwich recipe!

  • 2 4-6 ounce mahi fillets
  • 2 French rolls
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder we used long red slim
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Avocado slices for topping

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Add mahi fillets and mix to coat.
  3. Heat a sauté pan to medium-high heat.
  4. Add olive oil and seasoned mahi fillets. Sear each side for about 2 minutes per side or until fillets are cooked through.
  5. Let the fillets rest about 1 minute.
  6. Serve on toasted French rolls. Top with sliced avocado.
